Beginnings Program
We have lovingly created what we wish we had at the start of our careers: guidance from current clinicians, the chance to practice before trying new skills out with clients, and a soft place to land during tough times. This content includes hard fought lessons we want to share with you. It represents our commitment to building community within our field, ensuring new clinicians are not only well trained in the most effective treatments, but supported.
What Sets Us Apart?
Clinical Interventions Unpacked
Frustrated with individual trainings lacking information about how to integrate them with other modalities, or how to actually provide them in real life? Sick of “perfect” counseling clinical training videos that go perfectly, without a hitch?
We think learning the basics over time is important, with an approach that reflects up to date approaches to adult learning. Our program guides you through the primary evidence-based therapy models. You will learn them gradually, also blending them together and choosing specific interventions based on each person’s unique needs.
Opportunity to Practice Your Skills
Beginnings is designed as a small group experience (5-7 per cohort). While we offer it to individuals wanting it asynchronously, we hope you’ll consider diving in with a few of your peers! We find that community is vital when learning new things, especially at the start of your career.
You and your peers will have the opportunity to take training material and add your unique personality, making it your own before using it with clients.
Guided by clinical mentors with extensive clinical experience, you will receive individualized feedback throughout the program.
You're a Person, Not Only a Therapist
That’s right-we care about you as a human. We know you are more than your job. While many of us find personal purpose and meaning in this work, we still need lives outside of it!
We will share our hard-earned tips for finding work-life balance. Early on, you will create your own Individualized Self-Care Plan and refer back to it regularly in your individual supervision sessions.
We want you to create healthy habits at the start of your career!
