Some flowers are resilient, growing in the most difficult conditions. While we celebrate them for their power, we certainly wish they didn't have to grow through dry, cracked soil. When flowers aren't growing, we don't blame them. We look around them to see if they have enough space. We check the soil to see if it's too dry. We make sure the sun isn't beating down on them too directly. We may even sing to them, reminding them they are beautiful and wanted.
What if we approached people like this? What if instead of starting with what wasn't working, we begin with what is? How do we give someone extra water and sun and space? These are the questions guiding our work.
If you ask yourself these kinds of questions, grab a cup of coffee and explore. There’s a place for you here!
